flesh. web photos

Hi world! I'm back!! I'm finally releasing some teasers for my website. These photos were taken by me for the launch of the flesh. website. Hopefully it won't take me as long to get that out as it did to release these photos. Thank you so much to my muse Sonia who was so easy to work with even through extreme hiking and weather conditions...and Sarah who was able to help me out with hair styling at the last minute while catering to my crazy schedule, you ladies are amazing!!

eres

Eres is a 43 year old company specializing in swimwear and lingerie. Their reach into lingerie design in 1998, only proved that they were experts in the architecture of the body. Some of the pieces that speaks to my style are in the following images pulled from the official site. They're so lovely!!

Balenciaga and Spain

Holy crap, it's March already!?! There's only one thing I'm excited for this month and that's the Balenciaga exhibit at the deYoung Museum ...now what to wear...

flesh. and feast

flesh. got a mention in The Feast under the post "Where to Buy Local Designers". The Feast is a great online hub for all your foodie, fashion, and fun needs. And the list is a great one, some of my favorite shops are named. Be sure to also follow Katie who keeps you up to date on the San Francisco fashion scene like it's nobody's business!!

my guilty pleasure

After hours of cutting and sewing, I admit, I like to indulge in some guilty pleasures. One of them being television DRAMA, and in this case, Pretty Little Liars is JUST that! Really, the only thing I take seriously from this experience is the catchy little theme song at the beginning. And here it is, Secret by The Pierces...I actually do like the style in which this video was shot...very lovely!

Proenza Schouler S/S 2011

Two things I love about these looks: 1) layering with sheer fabrics gives the illusion of casual sexiness with a longer hemline, no cleavage or short shorts needed and 2) the awesome use of a cropped camisole/brassiere!!

Photos were taking from Style.com. Check out the entire collection and more  at http://www.proenzaschouler.com

nichole de carle

Nichole de Carle is amazing! I just learned of her through the Bleach Black blog. She specializes in fit and has worked as a tailor for labels such as Alexander McQueen, Donna Karan and Pleasure State. I love the strappy architectural lines created around the body.

dark and beautiful

Just some beautiful images I found on Fashiongonerogue.com, first published in V magazine (Fall 2008). I'm keeping these for my archive of inspirations...

the sweetest things...

Some of the sweetest things are hand-written postcards...I received this one from the most awesome hairstylist I know, Sarah Valentine! I recently sent her a couple of flesh. camisole and panty sets for having done such beautiful work on my models at Je Reve Encore. Check out her blog at http://www.believebotanica.blogspot.com/. Thanks for the lovely note Sarah glad you like your gift!!

webby site

I'm making it my goal for the next month to work on my website in which I can feature and sell flesh. As I sit here with my mood board I feel like an element is missing to help inspire me.....well, until this song came on...this is the mood of flesh.

rustic rust lace, dark silky charmeuse and pixie peter pan collars

I've been wanting to take some process photos of this one. I had a sketch of this set sitting around for months. Finally I had a chance to finish it. The rust colored lace is unique in that it's more soft to the touch compared to your typical lace. The peter pan collar creates a deep neckline at the center front and is made of black silk charmeuse. Trimmed in black scalloped elastic, the silhouette is a trapeze shape with a hook-n-eye closure at the collar. The bikini bottom is made of this rust colored lace and black silk charmeuse. I should have these available by Valentine's Day 2011!!! hopefully on my new online shop.....!!

let the accessories do the talking

I'm not sure how I missed this one but I just noticed it while sifting through J Crew's sale site (extra 30% sale off items). Is it the feathers? the ribbon? the jewels? the deep rich green color? or the fact that you could throw this over a t-shirt and look fabulous still? Please excuse me while I obsess over this...
